Effective June 1,2023 the Avalon Junior Capitals have changed their name to The Avalon Junior Celtics,
the decision to make such a change has been a long time coming for our organization, but we could not
be more thrilled to be aligning our name with our Minor Hockey Affiliate the Avalon Celtics Minor
Hockey Association.

Our organization will run as a separate entity from Avalon Minor, we will have our own board of
directors and we will use a different logo, but we will be continuing to do the same great traditions that
we have been doing for many years. Aligning with our minor affiliates allows us to be leaders for the
youth in programs offered by Avalon Minor Hockey

I would like to thank Mark Sexton and the entire Avalon Minor Celtics board of directors for their
support in this change and we cannot wait to wear our new colors in September and hear you cheering
at DF Barnes Arena.
