SJJHL Hosts Record-Breaking Draft Class

On Sunday, September 11th, 2022, the St. John's Junior Hockey League hosted a record-breaking 44 skaters at the Double Ice Complex in Paradise. Skaters opened with a 10-minute warm-up period, followed up by a 60-minute Red vs. White game. Team Red, coached by Mount Pearl Blades alumnus and 2022 President's Cup Champion, Ben Best, took the game by a score of 7-0 over Team White who had SJJHL Director Paul Shephard behind the bench.

League President Jim Hare calls the record-breaking turnout "surprising, yet fantastic" and looks forward to welcoming players to their new squad after the 2022 SJJHL Draft which is being held Tuesday, September 13th. Draft results will be released via Twitter @sjjuniorhockey as they happen.
